This looks like a very common design power supply, and the logic board looks identical to ones out of many threads I've read.Īny suggestions to what I should look for next? The board is heat-checked around the inverter transformer, but I see no other signs of damage. I also suspected the CCFL lamps may be bad, so I plugged in a couple of spares out of a Dell monitor.Īt this point I'm chasing my tail, I don't know what else to look for. One cap I did NOT replace, was the orange cap labelled C920, an "Elite GP" series which I couldnt find a datasheet for a suitable replacement. None looked out of the ordinary, but I replaced them anyway, with Nichicon VZ series I had laying around. I disassembled, and found "Elite" brand caps. When I plug the power cord, the monitor's blue power light turns on, then after about 1 second, I hear a faint "tick", and the power light shuts off. And you know what, it’s because of stuff like what’s happening now that I couldn’t be happier that we switched course. The monitor refuses to power on. Eventually, though, Damon and I both were over the relationship game, especially because neither of us was experts at relationships and had receipts to suggest as much, but also, despite how popular that lane is (and why folks like Derrick Jaxn and Kevin Samuels, etc. But back then (the book released in 2011), there was a big marketplace for that type of content. The title is a bit of a red herring the vast majority of what’s in the book are our observations about relationships, pertinent for men and women, not advice so much. So we decided to double down and write a book we eventually released called Your Degrees Won’t Keep You Warm at Night: The Very Smart Brothas Guide to Dating, Mating and Fighting Crime.

Quick tangent: when Damon, Liz and I started VSB back in 2008, it’s because we noticed that the posts we’d written about relationships got the most attention and comments (trust and believe the relationship space will always be a profitable one).
